VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO HELP GFWC CONTEMPORARY WOMEN (CWONC) AT THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY FAIR.
Each year many of our members and their families volunteer to help the judging of the Student Showcase photography contests. It is lots of fun and you have the opportunity to see the amazing photography work students at our local high schools and colleges do before the rest of the city. It gets your creative juices flowing.
We are looking for 20 volunteers on Sunday, May 27, 2012 from 8:00 am – 2:30 pm and 10 volunteers for Monday, May 28, 2012 from 8:00 am – 2:30 pm. You do not have to volunteer for both days. Keep in mind that you will be on your feet a lot of the time, however, we do take breaks and break for lunch. If you are available, please RSVP to Ann
In addition, we have been asked to help with setting up the exhibits in the Home and Hobby displays. We’ve never done this before, but it sounds interesting.
We will need 6 volunteers daily. You can sign up for one day or all days or any combination. The time frame is from Friday, May 25 through Saturday, June 2 (excluding May 27-28 because we are working at Student Showcase). It will most likely be an 8 hour day. Remember that our volunteer time earns funds for the club to be able to assist our many projects. Bring your husband, teen, aunt, uncle or best friend. We have lots of fun.
