Casa De Amparo Crystal Ball Gala -

Eight years ago, community members conceived the idea of a
substantial fundraiser for Casa de Amparo, and thus the Crystal Ball was
born, so named because visionaries hoped that with this funding, each Casa
child could look into his or her own crystal ball and see a brighter future.
About 350 people attend the ball, where dinner is prepared by local
philanthropist Jeffrey Strauss of Del Mar's Pamplemousse Grille. A live and
a silent auction add to the excitement and overall financial success of this
black-tie event, attended by some of San Diego's most prominent business
people and philanthropists .
Prior to the event, an elegant patron party honors the Crystal Ball's
patrons and sponsors. Sumptuous hors d'oeuvres and vintage champagne are the
highlights, and Kerman Beriker, manager director of the Inn at Rancho Santa
Fe, says the best part about that party is the enthusiasm and energy of the
people who attend. |
