MEETING & MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

New Member Celebration - August 2009

Meeting Information

Our General business meeting is held the second Monday of each month, with social & hands on projects starting at 6:00 PM and a guest orientation starting at 6:15 PM with a “Call to Order” at 6:45 PM.    Meetings usually last two hours with a break about halfway through for members to visit.   Meetings may include speakers or hands-on projects.   At each meeting there are refreshments brought by volunteers. The meeting agenda includes announcements of upcoming events:

  • Social activities

  • Community service projects
  • Ways and means (Fundraising) projects
  • Upcoming Palomar District, Area D and State activities (GFWC/CFWC-Junior Section)
  • New project ideas
  • Members discuss these items and vote on which events spark their interest.  

Membership Requirements - Complete a membership application

Annual Dues -   $45 (February 1st to January 31st)

When - Second Monday of each month.

 Time -    6:00-6:45 PM- Social & hands-on project

                  6:15-6:30 PM- Guest orientation

                  6:45 PM- Call to Order for General business meeting

                  8:30 PM- Adjourn

Where: The Historic Wood House is located at 1148 Rock springs Road, San Marcos, CA.  It is on the Corner of Rock Springs Road and Woodland Parkway in San Marcos.   **Please call  Membership Co-Chairmen, Lisa Pratte 760.294.1797 (lpratte@gmail.com) before joining us.  On occasion, we meet at different locations

Directions to the Wood House: Take 78 to Woodland Parkway/Barham Drive.  Circle around to Woodland Parkway.  Head North on Woodland Parkway.  At Rock Springs Road make a right  turn.  Look immediately to the left for a driveway between Woodland Park and Woodland Park Middle School.  Turn left onto the lane follow up to the top making a right at the Pepper tree.  Follow the signs to the pool.  The entrance gate is at the rear of the house.
