	CWONC has awarded our first two $500 scholarships, one for a graduating student from San Marcos High School, Nadia Ramirez, and one for a graduating student from Orange Glen High School, Amanda Nguyen. Members from the Scholarship Committee attended each schools award ceremonies and presented the scholarship to each student.

	Nadia Ramirez, a graduating senior at San Marcos High School, received a $500.00 scholarship from Ann Lygas and Laura Collins. Nadia plans to attend Palomar College in fall 2007 to study nursing. Her long-term goal is to become a pediatrician.	Hien (Amanda) Nguyen, a graduating senior at Orange Glen High School, receives a $500.00 scholarship from Beryl Price. Amanda plans to attend Palomar College in fall 2007. Her long-term goal is to become a CPA.
